In my seat at Mixing Board, I get to constantly meet and get to know people who have the same beliefs about the growing importance and impact of communications — but from totally different angles and experiences. I’ve also learned that if you keep an open mind, you will never know where these conversations will lead you.
Suffice it to say, the conversations that we’ve had with Axios HQ — the fast-growing internal comms software and services business — were, at first, surprising, and then exciting, and then quite determined. Thus the news today that Mixing Board has been acquired by Axios HQ.
What’s the connection between a community of 450+ communications and brand marketing experts of all stripes and Axios HQ? If you zoom out, there’s quite a lot.
We both are determined to give communicators the tools, resources, and expert insights and development that help them increase their impact and value. And, we do this with the recognition strong communication within an organization has a direct relation to the power and performance of external comms, brand, policy (etc.) efforts. And, most of all, all of this is directly tied to greatly increasing the odds of business success.

You’ll see in the above that Mixing Board and Axios HQ have been multi-year partners. HQ gets the special vibe of the Mixing Board community first-hand and wants to help us foster it. They will also bring new resources and support to help us bring more value to our members.
